As we understand it, the price of a new Powell with 14K lip and riser, D# roller, is somewhere just below $16,000. If you're playing in a pro orchestra that tunes to 442 or higher, this one's definitely not for you.

A modern hand-made Powell weighs about 435 grams. I quite like it, would recommend it highly for SOME (not all) super-particular players. No jive, the finest for a long time! With original head section in solid silver with 14K gold lip and riser.
The flute was constructed with in-line G, and soldered tone-holes. #3769 (November, 1972), hand-made, soldered tone-holes best model “pre Wasser” flute. SUPERB VINTAGE POWELL HAND-MADE FLUTE, 14K SOLID GOLD LIP,ALL NEW PADS.
